1. What are the specific requirements for wind power castings and what are the basic requirements?

Wind power castings, which refer to the base in the wind power generation equipment, the hub of the device blade, the gear box, the loading and unloading gantry, etc., and these are obtained by the casting process, and in addition, the requirements for these castings are also very High to ensure that wind power equipment can work and run normally.


The basic requirements for wind power castings are:

Requirement 1: To have good tensile strength, elongation and stiffness, it should be able to be used normally and withstand a certain impact at a temperature of minus 20 °C.

Requirement 2: In the material, the chemical composition, microstructure and mechanical properties of the material should be fully controlled to ensure that the material has good manufacturing and processing properties.

Requirement 3: The manufacturing process of castings must be strictly controlled so that the finished products meet the requirements for use. In addition, the production process of castings must be strictly controlled and selected.


2. Inspection of wind power castings and technical requirements for raw materials


The inspection of wind power castings is an important task, so it should be taken seriously and carried out. There should be no sloppyness and slackness. The contents of its work are:

(1) Magnetic particle inspection and ultrasonic flaw detection shall be carried out on all parts of the casting. If there is any defect, it shall not exceed the specified standard grade.

(2) Checking the appearance quality of castings, whether it meets the requirements of the requirements, mainly depends on the surface roughness and non-metallic inclusions, etc. If there are defects such as pores, it cannot exceed the specified range.


The technical requirements for raw materials for wind power castings are: Si, Mn, S, P and other elements in raw materials, the content of which should be reduced as much as possible and should be strictly controlled. For alloying elements such as Cu, Cr, Mo, Ti, Sn, V, W, etc., the content thereof should be strictly controlled, and the content of titanium should be controlled below 0.04%.

Pig iron: high-quality pig iron should be used. The total amount of trace elements in pig iron should not exceed 0.1%.

Scrap: There are more carbon scraps, and there should be no non-ferrous metals and any foreign materials in the scrap, and there should be no excessive rust and corrosion.

Spheroidizing agent: generally a mixed material of 52% lanthanum-based heavy rare earth spheroidizing agent DY-7B and 48% Aiken 5800 low-silicon light rare earth.

Inoculant: Silicon germanium inoculant is used to improve the spheroidization of the central part of the section and improve the ferrite content and as-cast properties.
